Delete your account

What gets deleted, what doesn't, and how to leave cleanly.

Account deletion is permanent. We do it cleanly: subscription cancelled, videos removed, personal data erased — but it's worth knowing exactly what goes and what doesn't before you click.

What gets deleted

  • Your account record (email, name, profile).
  • All videos you personally own — both originals and transcoded copies.
  • All shares you've created (recipients lose access).
  • All rules you've set up.
  • Your Stripe customer record and saved payment methods.

What stays

  • Team-owned videos stay with the team — they were never yours to take. If you owned a team, transfer the team before deletion.
  • Videos you transferred to others stay with the new owners — they accepted the transfer.
  • Aggregated, anonymised analytics may persist (counts, totals) but with no link back to your identity.
  • Invoices we've issued to you — kept for tax-law-mandated retention periods, then deleted.
  1. 1

    Open Account → Danger Zone

The delete button lives at the bottom of the Account page so you don't hit it by accident.

  2. 2

    Type your email to confirm

Defence against accidental clicks. The button stays disabled until the email matches.

  3. 3

    Confirm

Deletion runs in the background. You're logged out immediately; remaining cleanup finishes in a few minutes.

There is no undo

Once deleted, the videos can't be recovered. If you might want them back, download first.

Pause instead of delete?

If you just want to stop paying, downgrade to the free plan instead. Your videos stay (within the 20 GB free quota); your account survives. Comes back online whenever.
