iOS App Store pricing

Why iOS prices differ from web, and where to subscribe to save the difference.

The same plan costs more inside the iOS app than on the web. Apple takes a cut of in-app purchases; for EU users we pass through the EU's Digital Markets Act fee. The web is the cheaper option, always.

Why the difference

  • Apple charges a commission on in-app purchases (15–30 %).
  • For EU users, we use the DMA payment-service-provider option, which still has a 10 % core technology fee.
  • We don't absorb that cost — it's reflected in the in-app price.

How to subscribe at the lower web price

  1. Open the equiReelz site in your phone's browser, not the app.
  2. Sign in with your equiReelz account.
  3. Subscribe from the Pricing or Billing page.

The subscription applies to the same account regardless of where you bought it. The iOS app sees you as upgraded straight away.

Outside the EU

For non-EU iOS users, Apple doesn't allow in-app purchase for a service like ours, so the iOS app simply directs you to the web. There's no "iOS price" to compare against — web is the only path.

Already on iOS pricing? Switch over.

Cancel the iOS subscription from your Apple ID settings (Subscriptions), then resubscribe on the web. There's no double billing — the iOS subscription runs out at the end of its current period, the web one starts immediately.
