A video shared with you is borrowed — it expires, and the owner can revoke it. If you want one for good, Keep saves your own independent copy that survives whatever the original owner later does.

Open the shared video
Open a video someone shared with you directly, through a team you're in, or via a share link you opened while signed in.
- 2
Click Keep
On the video page, click Keep. It only appears when you have borrowed access — never for videos you already own.

Pick where it lands
A video shared with you directly becomes a personal copy you own. A video shared into a team becomes a copy owned by that team — if it was shared into several of your teams, you choose which one.
Keep vs transfer
Both leave you with an owned video, but they're not the same. A transfer moves the only copy — the original owner loses it and every other share is revoked. Keep leaves the original untouched: you both end up with an independent video.
It counts against your storage — but costs almost nothing
