Transferring is the right move when the video belongs to someone else: a groom-filmed round whose owner is the rider, a barn video that should live in the team library, a coaching clip you took for a client.
Four ways to transfer
| When to use it | How they accept | |
|---|---|---|
| To a contact | You've worked together before; they're already in your contacts. | One-click accept from email or in-app notification. |
| To a team | The video belongs in a shared barn library. | Immediate — no acceptance needed if you're a member of the team. |
| By email | You know their email but they're not a contact yet. | They get an email; only that exact address can accept. |
| By link | You're not sure of their email — or they're not signed up yet. | Anyone with the link who's signed in can claim ownership. |
Cancel a pending transfer
Until the recipient accepts, you can cancel from the Sent transfers page. If they've already accepted, the only way back is for them to transfer it back to you.
Storage moves with the video
When a transfer is accepted, the video's storage moves to the recipient's quota. If they're at 95 % capacity, the transfer fails on accept. They'll need to free space or upgrade. See Transfer rejected.
Bulk transfers
Select multiple videos in the search list, hit Transfer, and pick the destination. All selected videos go in one request. Useful for moving a competition's worth of rounds to the rider in a single step.
